HIPAA TIP: 405(d) Training Tools – Aligning Health Care Industry Security Approaches
The 405(d) Program is focused on providing the healthcare and public health (HPH) sector with impactful resources, products, and tools to raise awareness and strengthen the industry’s cybersecurity posture against cyber criminals and threats.
This program was developed to be a collaborative effort between industry and the federal government to align healthcare organizations with security practices: consensus-based guidelines, practices, and methodologies to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.
One of the most exciting aspects of the 405(d) Program is the availability of FREE (yes FREE!) cybersecurity training.
The Knowledge on Demand platform was launched on April 20, 2023, and includes the following five cybersecurity topics: 1. Social Engineering 2. Ransomware 3. Insider Accidental or Malicious Data Loss 4. Loss of Theft of Equipment or Data 5. Attacks Against Network Connected Medical Devices
Each topic is presented with a web-based interactive training video with knowledge checks, a PowerPoint with animation and presenter notes for in-person training. Take advantage of these powerful training sessions and keep your workforce educated on cybersecurity – this may be your best defense
